The San Marco Group, with its 7 production plants worldwide and 6 brands, is a leader in the paint and varnish segment for the professional building sector in Italy. The widespread presence of its Professional Application Centres (CAPs), specialised in products and services for professional users and the needs of private users, ensures its geographical coverage of Italy.

Outside Italy the San Marco Group is present in more than 40 countries throughout the world through specialised distributors. Thanks to a policy that aims increasingly at internationalisation and major, ongoing investments in both production and the Research & Development area, the Group’s commercial and production organization is constantly expanding.

The Group’s Production Companies

Colorificio San Marco S.p.A.: The parent company has two production sites in Italy:

1. Marcon (Venice): The headquarters of the Group are situated in Marcon (Venice), in a strategic position in the north-east of the country, just a few miles away from cities such as Venice, Verona, Padua and Milan and the A4 (Milan-Venice) motorway that connects the Colorificio to the Italian and European motorway networks.

The area was purchased by Mrs. Tamburini in 1962 and covers approximately 40,000 sq. m. 20,000 sq. m. of the area is covered or laid out over several floors as per the latest green building concepts, and equipped with an experimental photovoltaic system in line with the company’s sustainable development philosophy.

The headquarters house the group’s centralised functions. This is the main plant for  production of water-based products and the central warehouse for distribution throughout the world.

 2. Marina di Montemarciano: this former ABC plant produces a selection of water-based products with the Group’s trademarks, which it distributes directly for central and southern Italian clients.

Eurobeton S.r.l.

Eurobeton S.r.l. produces ready-mixed products and fillers for all brands of the San Marco Group.

2009 saw the construction of the new production plant on land purchased by the company. The new location, close to the Latisana motorway in the new Le Crosere industrial estate, has facilitated product shipments.

State-of-the-art, fully automated systems have allowed the company to improve its bag closing technology, such that bags are now completely closed with no leakage of product. In addition, the new pallet packing technology means that closed pallets of product may be stored outside with no water or dampness filtering problems.

San Marco Adriatica d.o.o.

A Croatian company which produces and sells emulsion paint for the local market.

The production plant, which also houses a store for the wholesaling of the Group’s products, is situated in Novigrad – Cittànova in Istria. This production plant was the Group’s first experience of export production.

San Marco DT BH d.o.o.

A Bosnian firm set up with Duga Tehna d.o.o., it is specialised in the production of all the Group’s solvent-based products. The solvent-based products manufactured in this plant are marketed by Duga Tehna d.o.o. in Bosnia Herzegovina and by Colorificio San Marco in the rest of the world.

The production plant is situated in Ciltuk, a small town in Herzegovina which lies between Medjugorje and Mostar.

The Group’s Commercial Companies

San Marco Service S.r.l.: the Group’s Italian company which owns several single brand stores.

San Marco Colores: the Spanish company responsible for the import and marketing of the Group’s products in Spain.

San Marco Scandinavia SA: the Norwegian company which is responsible for the import and marketing of the Group’s products in Norway. The Norwegian company Tjaeralin SA markets products with the Tjaeralin brand in Norway. These products are specific for treating wood in extreme weather conditions.
